Year Round Vegetables, Fruits and Flowers for Metro Houston’s New Edition Coming

I am beginning to work on the 13th edition of Year Round Vegetables, Fruits and Flowers for Metro Houston.  Do you have any suggestions about how to improve it?

The present edition (with the yellow cover) was written mostly in 2004-5 and many parts need updating.  In addition, the chapter on ornamentals needs major changes, so for the first time I am expecting a co-author.

Do you have a recommendation for someone (like myself) that just learned about your book and would like to get started but not have to pay twice in a few months (hopefully) for a revised edition? Thanks.

Todd, I don’t have a good recommendation. The next edition may be ready in early 2013 or then again it may not be ready until late 2013 or 2014. Since I am the publisher and for the first time have a co-author, it is not easy to answer the question. If you have a friend with the book, you could borrow it I suppose. But honestly, there is no good answer to your dilemma. I have many times been on a limited budget. Even so, the cost of the book is low compared with groceries, restaurants, and cars. Sorry.
